Fall Creek
Engineering, Inc. (FCE) is a full service engineering firm providing pre-project planning, design, construction planning, supervision and coordination. FCE has been a leading firm in the Central California Coast, working on a wide breadth of projects including civil, environmental, water resource, restoration and ecological engineering design and planning studies.
FCE employs state-of-the-art engineering methods and computer assisted drafting (AutoCAD) and Civil3D to provide accurate and clear design plans and technical studies.
The following outlines the overall services provided FCE:
Civil Engineering
Fall Creek Engineering (FCE) provides comprehensive civil engineering services, from initial site planning and design through construction management and project construction. FCE ascribes low impact site and planning principles to all of our civil engineering projects taking in integrated approach to reduce impervious cover, use green building solutions to manage stormwater, wastewater and minimized site disturbances to the maximum extent practical while achieving the development potential of the project. FCE civil services include:
Low impact site design and planning
Grading analysis and plans
Drainage studies and plans
Erosion control planning and design
Circulation planning and design
Bridge design
Utility planning and design
Park planning and design
Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPS)
Water, Wastewater and Water Reclamation
FCE applies appropriate, and cost effective engineering designs for state-of-the-art water and wastewater management and water reclamation systems for small communities, resorts, conference centers, schools, commercial properties, wineries, and other industrial facilities. FCE designs both custom and pre-engineered treatment systems that are selected based on the various requisites, including clients needs, site specific conditions, financial considerations, regulatory requirements, and environmental goals. Our designs emphasize the selection of appropriate technology that is low-cost, energy efficient, reliable and easy to operate. FCE promotes the use of ecologically based, biological and natural treatment systems to treat and reuse wastewater, including ponds and constructed wetlands. Our services include:
Pre- and Final Feasibility Studies
Water and Wastewater Master Planning
Water Reclamation and Wastewater treatment and reuse
Storm Water Management
Greywater
Surface water development and treatment
Groundwater treatment (arsenic, iron, manganese, hydrogen sulfide, organic chemicals)
Potable and non-potable water supply, treatment and distribution
Water storage tank design
Watershed restoration and planning
Water Resource Engineering
Using state-of-the-art field engineering, analytical methods and computer modeling techniques, including the U.S. Corps of Engineers HEC computer systems, Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS), and Regional and local accepted methods, GIS and other tools, Fall Creek Engineering provides comprehensive water resource and hydrologic engineering and science services to public and private clients. Fall Creek Engineering conducts a wide range of water resource engineering services, including:
Stream and bank stabilization design and analysis
Biotechnical bank stabilization and habitat restoration
Hydrologic and hydraulic analysis
Rainfall-runoff analysis;
Floodway, flood plain and flood certificate studies;
Flood control studies
Hydromodification analysis
Groundwater recharge studies
Restoration and Ecological Engineering
Restoration and ecological engineering is an emerging area of practice that integrates ecology and engineering, concerned with the design, monitoring and construction of ecosystems. FCE provides comprehensive ecological and restoration engineering services that involve protecting at-risk ecosystems, restoring degraded ecosystems, or creating new sustainable ecosystems designed to satisfy the needs of nature and society.
FCE adapts engineering design methods, ecological science, and an integrated system approach to form our basis of design to the natural environment. Taking into consideration the regenerative and complex factors that lead to long-term success and restoration of a habitat is fundamental to our designs. FCE also recognizes that restoring critical habitat presents many challenges given the dynamic forces of nature and that adopting an adaptive management approach to the design is a critical element of any restoration project. FCE restoration and ecological engineering services include:
Stream, lake, marsh, and wetland restoration planning and design
Pre-design feasibility studies
Stream and habitat surveys
Fish passage analysis and design
Water quality studies
Construction management
